NBA commissioner Adam Silver has suspended the 2019-20 season, but it has not yet been canceled. During his appearance on TNT's "Inside the NBA," Silver said it feels "premature to suggest we lost the season."
At the same time, the NBA commissioner has not ruled out the possibility of a cancelation.
"I just don't know more at this point," he said.
For now, Silver has set the hiatus for "most likely" 30 days.
Also, prior to Silver's appearance, TNT NBA analyst and basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley revealed he is under the weather and self-quarantining himself for 48 hours. His self-quarantine started on Thursday.
Barkley has received a coronavirus test, but he has not gotten the results yet.
