October 13, 2019 Strus previously had a two-way deal with the C’s. By signing him to an NBA deal, one of Boston’s two-way spots opens up. Tremont Waters is the Celtics’ other two-way player.
Because of the amount of money Javonte Green is guaranteed, he’s not eligible for a two-way deal. This puts Fall in position to fill that two-way spot.
