Last summer, the Celtics were linked to Rockets big man Clint Capela. The center remained in Houston, but his name has resurfaced in the NBA rumor mill with the trade deadline approaching.
And he has been linked to the Celtics again.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics have “engaged with the Houston Rockets in trade talks” for Capela.
The Hawks have also been linked to Capela. Woj is also reporting the Rockets have looked into potential three-way trades that would involve Capela.
The Houston big man is in the second year of a five-year, $90 million contract. Capela is set to make just under $14.9 million this year.
