Philly still has to find a way to make room for the pair on the roster, but all it cost to get both Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III from Golden State was three second-round draft picks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Seems like a price the Celtics could meet if they were interested, right? Well, apparently Boston was in on both players, but there was an issue.
According to Keith Smith of RealGM, the Warriors didn’t want to take any money back, and the Celtics don’t want to waive players who “have guaranteed money extending into next season.”
