For a while now, Curt Schilling has been involved in the political realm more than the baseball world. Now it seems he’s ready to return to the game after spending some time away.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today is reporting Schilling is interested in two MLB jobs: Phillies manager and Red Sox pitching coach.

Friends close to Curt Schilling say he would love to get back into the game, and has significant interest in interviewing for the the #Phillies managerial opening and/or the #RedSox pitching coach job.

The Red Sox job is now vacant after the team announced Dana LeVangie would not return to the position and will instead serve as a pro scout.

The Phillies position opened up when Philadelphia fired one of Schilling’s old Red Sox teammates, Gabe Kapler, on Thursday.
