Enes Kanter's knee to be reevaluated next week, now out for two games

On Thursday, Enes Kanter was ruled out for Friday's Celtics home opener against the Raptors with a knee contusion. He will also miss Saturday's game on the road against the Knicks.

Brad Stevens told reporters at Friday's shootaround Kanter will not play in either game this weekend. The center will be reevaluated "early next week."

Stevens believes Kanter hurt his knee on the play where Josh Richardson fell underneath the basket and clipped the big man's leg in the first half of Wednesday's game. Although Kanter felt good at halftime, his knee eventually stiffened up.

"Probably could have been a lot worse but thankfully it wasn't," Stevens said.
