Grant Williams found an interesting way to pass some time during NBA hiatus

It looks like Grant Williams fancies himself as somewhat of a casting director.

The Celtics rookie broke out Space Jam on Saturday, and he decided to do an “If The Boston Celtics Were…” with the cast:

Taz — Marcus Smart

No-brainer. This might be the easiest casting decision in the history of film.

Lola Bunny — Jayson Tatum

Best player in the movie besides Michael Jordan. That’s not up for debate.

Daffy Duck — Grant cast himself

Self-deprecating, I can appreciate that. Not sure who else on the Celtics would fit as Daffy, if anyone does.

Bugs Bunny — Jaylen Brown

Outside of casting someone as MJ in this movie, this is the greatest compliment that can be bestowed upon anyone.

Michael Jordan — Kemba Walker

Move over LeBron James. (His Space Jam 2 is supposed to come out in 2021.)

Granny — Gordon Hayward

Hopefully, Hayward takes this the right way. “What’s the right way,” you ask? Good question — I have no idea.

Tweety — Tremont Waters

Never underestimate the little guy.

Stan Podolak — Brad Wanamaker

This is cold. Wayne Knight might be more of a nuisance as Podolak than he is as Newman in Seinfeld.

Monstars — LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo and Kyle Kuzma

I would’ve cast Javale McGee over Dwight Howard, personally. Otherwise, his lineup of forwards is solid — especially the Kuzma casting.

And for some reason, there are times I forget Rondo is on the Lakers. So hearing his name caught me off guard. That being said, definitely the right pick.
