Although the condition of Jaylen Brown's thumb has improved, he will not play against Aron Baynes and the Suns on Saturday.
At shootaround, Brad Stevens said scans didn't show signs of a tear.
"It's a sprain," Stevens told reporters. "Still got a little swelling."

"Kemba got ahold of out doctors (Friday) night and said he had some knee soreness," Stevens said during his pregame availability. "He went in and got an MRI today. Didn't show anything structurally wrong, but clearly very sore."
