Jayson Tatum out against Pistons

Wednesday will be the first game of 2019-20 in which Boston’s starting lineup doesn’t feature Jayson Tatum.

He has been ruled out against the Pistons with right knee soreness.

Brad Stevens told reporters at Wednesday’s shootaround he is not concerned about the injury. Tatum will still travel with the team to Milwaukee for Thursday’s game.

On Tuesday, Daniel Theis was listed as questionable with the same issue as Tatum: right knee soreness. However, Theis hopes to play on Wednesday.
