In years past, the Patriots have hosted athletes and coaches from the other Boston pro sports teams during New England’s training camp. This year is no different, with the Celtics’ Brad Stevens and Jayson Tatum taking a trip to Foxboro on Sunday.
“I just appreciate everybody else in their own profession, especially out here in football,” Tatum said in an interview with the Patriots social media team. “There’s some things where we can relate and some things that (are) just totally different. It was just cool to come see it up close and personal.”
Tatum also spoke specifically about Tom Brady, who has been the Patriots starting quarterback almost as long as the Celtics wing has been alive. In fact, the 21-year-old doesn’t really know an NFL that doesn't include Brady leading the Patriots.
“My whole life it’s (been), Tom Brady is the guy,” Tatum said. “Just to be able to interact with him and see how he goes about his business is cool.”
