Sixers big man Joel Embiid had quite the performance when Philadelphia last played the Celtics on December 12. He finished with 38 points on 12-for-21 shooting (2-for-3 from deep), to go with his 13 rebounds and six assists.
Embiid will not have the opportunity to repeat that performance when the Sixers host Boston on Thursday. He has been ruled out with a left ring finger injury.
Embiid dislocated the same finger in Philly's game against the Thunder on Monday, but was able to return and played the rest of the night.
