In the wake of Kobe Bryant's passing, there's been discussion about how the NBA can properly honor his legacy. One idea that's been brought up: retire one or both of Bryant's numbers, 8 and 24.
The league has not formally announced anything on the matter, but players have started to take action.
Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie swapped out his No. 8 for 26, with the league's approval. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Magic wing Terrence Ross and Clippers forward Moe Harkless are looking to do the same.
The thought has crossed Kemba Walker's mind — but he has yet to decide.
"I'm considering it, but I'm not sure yet," Walker told reporters in Miami. "I definitely have tons of respect for Kobe. But everybody mourns a little bit different. For me, I'm thinking I would love to honor him by wearing that number.
"Kobe played hard each and every night and I would like to honor him by doing the same. I'm definitely thinking about it, but we'll see."
