Kemba Walker wasn't able to practice on Thursday. He had flu-like symptoms.
A meeting between Celtics doctors and Walker was set up for late Thursday. His status for Friday's game against the Hawks is unknown.
Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown made his return to practice. He expects to play on Friday.
"I think I've played in worse conditions, so I feel like I'll be all right to get back out there," Brown said.
He missed the Celtics' game in Charlotte on New Year's Eve due to a sinus infection.
