Kyrie Irving is not about to be outdone by his old team.
Not long after a report indicated Kemba Walker and the Celtics are set to ink the deal as soon as possible on Sunday, another surfaced regarding the soon-to-be ex-Celtics point guard.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Irving and the Nets will meet on Sunday with the intent to come to an agreement on a four-year, $141 million deal.
With the move, this also means the D’Angelo Russell era in Brooklyn should be at an end.
Woj is reporting that will be the case, though the Nets “will be willing to work with Russell and his reps on ways to get him to a team of his choice.” That means a sign-and-trade is in play.
Also, if Irving’s situation works out as Woj is reporting it will, LeBron James’ search for a third superstar in Los Angeles will continue. (Maybe that's where Russell lands?)
