
After scuffling in his first few games back from multiple shoulder surgeries, Marco Hernandez has made significant strides at the plate. In his first three games with Class A Advanced Salem, the infielder went 1-for-10 with a single. Since then, he is hitting .379. Seven of his last 15 games were multi-hit performances, including his three-hit night against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Astros) on Monday.
Hernandez hit his seventh double of the year and drove in his ninth run as part of Salem’s 13-6 win over Fayetteville.
Dalbec not done
Brett Netzer also had himself a day for Portland. The Sea Dogs second baseman went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, two runs scored and an RBI. He’s in the midst of a mini-hitting streak that has spanned four games, going 5-for-15 (.333) during the stretch.
