The NBA has punished Marcus Smart for his actions at the end of the Celtics' loss to the Nets on Tuesday. Smart got into a verbal altercation with two officials and was held back by Celtics employees as he let loose.

On Thursday, the league announced Smart had been fined for "confronting and verbally abusing the game officials." This time, Smart was fined $35,000.

— Nick Friar (@Nick_Friar) March 5, 2020Smart was last fined by the league on November 8 for "public criticism of the officiating" from the Celtics' 108-87 win in Charlotte. Those comments cost him $15,000.
