Tacko Watch: Fall finishes one block shy of triple-double

Entering Maine’s game against the Windy City Bulls (Chicago), Tacko Fall was averaging 2.8 blocks per game for the Red Claws. On Sunday, the center tripled his season average, finishing with nine blocked shots in Maine’s 120-112 loss.

Had Fall blocked one more shot, he would’ve logged his first triple-double for the Red Claws. He also scored 16 points on 7-for-7 shooting (2-for-5 at the free-throw line) and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Tremont Waters finished with six assists, but was otherwise quiet on the offensive end. He scored five points on 2-for-7 shooting (1-for-4 from deep).

Carsen Edwards and Vincent Poirier were also with Maine on Sunday. Edwards had a rough day from deep, finishing 0-for-8 from three. Overall, he went 3-for-14 from the floor (1-for-1 at the line) and scored eight points.

Poirier was responsible for three of Maine’s 16 blocked shots. Like Fall, he had a double-double, finishing with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting (1-for-1 from deep) and 12 rebounds.
