Bobby Dalbec made the most of his big-league debut.
The first baseman, who was called up from the team's alternate site in Pawtucket earlier Sunday, made it in time to be inserted into the Red Sox' starting lineup after the trade of Mitch Moreland to the Padres. It didn't take long for the first baseman to make an impact, lofting a 373-foot opposite-field home run to right field in his second at-bat.

August 30, 2020 The homer came off of Nationals righty Javy Guerra.
Dalbec added a second hit in the seventh inning with a bloop single into center field.
He is slated to see significant time at first base along with Michael Chavis with the departure of Moreland, with the 25-year-old most likely also likely to see some action at third base.
