The anger is understandable.
If any walk of life defined its competency by one number -- as the "Madden 21" video game does for NFL players -- it would hit home. It's simple. It's to the point. And for most, it's tough to swallow.
That was certainly the case for Cam Newton.
The new Patriots quarterback joined the vast majority of NFL players in taking issue with where their ranking for the game landed. It was particularly humbling for the former NFL MVP considering he clocked in with just a 78 out of 100. It's not as though any Patriot other than Stephon Gilmore -- who joined the "99 Club" -- jumped off the page.

It was this post that allowed Newton to get his two cents in when it came to where he fell in the rankings.
Newton will begin his quest to prove the Madden people wrong next week, having arrived in Boston Wednesday night.
