One of the more intriguing Celtics rookies is not going to be available for a few weeks.

The team announced Tuesday afternoon that Javonte Green underwent arthroscopic surgery on a small meniscal tear in his right knee. The plan is for Green to rejoin the C's in Orlando within the week and is expected to return to basketball activities in 2-3 weeks.

The 27-year-old rookie appeared in 47 games for the Celtics this season, averaging 3.4 points per game. He totaled six minutes in one of the Celtics' postseason games against the Sixers.

Green will be unavailable for the at least the upcoming best-of-seven series against the Raptors, which kicks off Thursday night.
