Chris Sale might be drawing back on his pitches and innings, but he's still not shy about churning out the strikeouts.
By striking out the side in the first inning Friday night against the Twins, Sale notched his sixth straight season of 200 or more punchouts. According to Elias Sports, the 200 strikeouts in 136 innings breaks the American League record for fastest to the mark. Sale owned the previous mark, having accomplished the feat in 141 1/3 innings last season.
