Four years later, Mitch Moreland explains putting Kevin Pillar in a headlock (while getting ready for some BINGO)

When Mitch Moreland showed up to spring training this year, it wasn't lost on him which new teammate was serving as his locker mate: The guy he put in a headlock exactly four years ago today, Kevin Pillar.

As has been surfaced through various social media clips throughout the four-year anniversary of the brawl between Texas' Rougned Odor and Jose Bautista, the dynamic on that day in 2016 between Moreland and Pillar looked a whole lot different than their good-natured interactions at JetBlue Park a few months ago.

"KP came running in there wide open and I was like, ‘This dude looks crazy like he’s trying to go get somebody. I have to slow him down.’ Then I looked up and I was like, ‘Oh man, that’s Pillar.’ You talk to guys over at first and I liked this guy," recalled Moreland during a phone conversation with WEEI.com Friday. "We just hugged it out a little bit. Then when let go of him he looked up, looked at me and we shook it off and went back into the pile. We talked about in spring training. He said he has a good picture of it at home."

Moreland's Friday may have started by revisiting that brawl from four years before, but it was to punctuated by something on other end of the spectrum from any on-field animosity.

Moreland his wife, Susannah, will be hosting "B-I-N-G-O for J-I-M-M-Y" Friday night, a live online bingo game supporting the Jimmy Fund. "I have but it’s been a little while so I might be a little rusty," said Moreland when asked if he had every played BINGO before. "I’ve got my wife’s help with it. I’m definitely happy to be a part of the Jimmy Fund and be able help any way we can. … There’s no telling what I will be doing. I might have a Vanna White outfit on. But it will be a good time. We’re looking forward to being able to host it."
