LONDON -- Alex Cora and Mookie Betts had very different reactions when meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Dutchess of Sussex prior to Saturday's game at London Stadium.

The Red Sox manager? He wasn't about to hide his anxiety.

"I was so nervous," Cora said after his team's 17-13 loss to the Yankees. "I was panicking. I was getting instructions from (media relations director) Kevin (Gregg) and I almost forgot. I almost asked for a translator. Instead of speaking English to them I almost spoke to them in Spanish. I was very nervous but it was something special, unique and I know the guys, I think they got videos so it was cool."

For Betts, it was evidently a different story. Then again, the Red Sox outfielder is supposedly a distant relative of the Dutchess.

"It was cool," he said. "They’re people just like we are. You talk to them and then you kind of push the royalty thing out. Like I said, treat them like a normal person."
