Tom Brady offered an honest assessment of his injured right hand after helping the Patriots beat the Jaguars, 24-20, in the AFC Championship Game, suggesting that it remained a concern all the way up until Saturday.

"I've had a lot worse," Brady said. "I didn't know that on Wednesday. It was a crazy injury. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday was a little scary. Then I started getting some confidence and today we did just enough to win."

Well, it certainly didn't look like the cut -- which was caused on a hand-off to Rex Burkhead during practice -- was a major problem by the time Sunday rolled around. Brady finished his day 26 of 38 for 290 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
