The Red Sox and Blue Jays have decided to not play Thursday night. The Boston Globe was first to report the news of the postponement.

The decision comes after day-long conversations between both teams involving how to approach the issue of social injustice and concerns that have been surfaced throughout the sports world since the Milwaukee Bucks' decision not to play their postseason game against Orlando Wednesday.

Wednesday night there were two Major League Baseball games that were not played out of protest -- the Dodgers vs. Giants and Padres vs. Mariners. Both series restarted Thursday. The A's and Rangers, Twins and Tigers, and Phillies and Nationals also chose not to play their games Thursday.

Jackie Bradley Jr. had already made the decision earlier Thursday not to play, with his teammates joining him in the boycott later in the afternoon.
