Dustin Pedroia evidently got some good news.
The second baseman, who was forced from Wednesday night's game in New York after experiencing pain in his surgically-repaired left knee, told the media in St. Petersburg, Fla. that he doesn't expect to be out of the lineup long.
Dustin Pedroia thinks he's going to be fine and activated again when ten day period is up.
— Jason Mastrodonato (@JMastrodonato) April 19, 2019Pedroia said he felt something pop in his last at bat on a foul ball, got scared, doctors told him it could've been a couple things (didn't expand on that) but rest over a few day period should be telling. He seems unfazed by the whole thing.
— Jason Mastrodonato (@JMastrodonato) April 19, 2019Pedroia was replaced on the 25-man roster by reliever Marcus Walden, with the Red Sox making two more moves Friday when they promoted both Tzu-Wei Lin and Michael Chavis. Eduardo Nunez was placed on the injured list while Erasmo Ramirez was designated for assignment.
