According to the Puerto Rican news outlet El Nuevo Dia the Red Sox have come to terms with their second pick in this year's June amateur draft, high school shortstop Matthew Lugo.
The report states that Lugo will be receiving a signing bonus of $1.1 million, which is slightly over the slot value of $929,800.
Lugo was taken with the 69th overall pick in this month's draft. The 18-year-old, who attended the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, was committed to attending the University of Miami if he did not find common ground with the Red Sox.
