Dana LeVangie is getting some interest from an old friend.
The former Red Sox pitching coach -- who was reassigned to the pro scouting department after the 2019 season -- has interviewed for the Cubs bullpen coach position according to a major league source. LeVangie served as the Red Sox' bullpen coach during current Cubs manager David Ross' most recent stint with Sox in 2013-14.
Jon Heyman was first to report that LeVangie had interviewed for a coaching job with Chicago.
The Cubs parted ways with their previous bullpen Lester Strode, who held the position from 2007-2019.
