Steven Wright has lost his momentum once again.

The Red Sox starter has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to inflammation in his surgically-repaired left knee, resulting in the promotion of Justin Haley from Triple-A Pawtucket. The move is retroactive to June 23.

Wright is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 10 appearances, four of which were starts. He compiled a 24 2/3-inning scoreless streak from May 24-June 16, the second-longest by any pitcher this season and the longest by a Red Sox pitcher since Koji Uehara in 2013 (30 1/3 innings). The knuckleballer began the season on the disabled list due to his left knee surgery, making his big league debut May 15.

Haley is being recalled for a second time this season, having made just one appearance (2 innings in Baltimore).
