When news came out this weekend that the NBA and ESPN were working on a possible H-O-R-S-E competition involving several high profile players (with each shooting from remote gyms) we sent out a text to a member of the Celtics to get a gauge on which current NBA participants should be the favorites to such an endeavor.
The answer:
Steph Curry, LeBron James, Marcus Smart, Trae Young and Kyrie Irving.
Smart? A 37 percent shooter for his career from the field?
Yup.
It was this person's opinion that Smart might be the best H-O-R-S-E player the Celtics has had at least in the last 20 years. This is a very real thing. Smart should not only be in the competition, but might be considered a favorite to win.
