The Patriots had a few players recognized on the highest of stages Friday.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore and special teamer Matthew Slater were named first team All-Pros. Gilmore was one of two players in the entire league to be a unanimous selection -- Michael Thomas was the other.

Gilmore is a contender for Defensive Player of the Year and finished with 20 passes defensed and six interceptions. Meanwhile, Slater was once again one of the best special teams players in the league.

In addition, guard Joe Thuney was named to the second team. This will serve him very well heading into an offseason where he's set to become a free agent.
