FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots were back at the Gillette Stadium facility Wednesday to begin preparing for Sunday's game with the Chiefs.
Two players were missing from the start of practice, which was held on the lower grass field: offensive lineman Ted Karras and defensive lineman Byron Cowart. Karras reportedly suffered a MCL sprain in the loss to the Texans, while Cowart missed the game with a head injury suffered during the week last week.
After not traveling to Houston, Jason McCourty and Ryan Izzo were present.
In other news, the Patriots still do not have a kicker following Kai Forbath's release Monday.
The Patriots will practice Thursday and Friday before hosting the Chiefs on Sunday.
