Bill Belichick via OMF on Patrick Chung matter: It's really out of our hands

While Bill Belichick didn't address anything related to Patrick Chung being indicted for possession of cocaine when speaking following last week's preseason game, he did have a little something to say Monday during his appearance with Ordway, Merloni & Fauria.

“The whole matter is really out of our hands," Belichick said. "Whatever it is, is in the courts, so we’ll see what happens.”

Chung himself spoke Monday in the locker room, but declined to comment on the matter.

“No. I am here to get ready for the Giants," he said. "They have a good team. Running back is a savage, so we have to get ready for him.”

The Patriots safety has pleaded not guilty and his court appearance has been moved to November.

In regards to potential discipline from the league, that likely will not come until the legal matter is closed, so it seems like it won't come at all this season.

Chung is recovering from offseason surgery and recently has begun practicing without a red, non-contact jersey.
