The scouting trail continues.

On Monday, Bill Belichick was at NC State's pro day and then he traveled down the road to the University of South Carolina where he attended their pro day on Tuesday.

A quick look at the South Carolina prospects isn't great, except for tight end Hayden Hurst, who is one of the better tight ends in the entire draft.

Speaking to reporters after the pro day on Tuesday, Hurst said he met with Belichick at the combine and also on Monday.

Hurst was selected in the 2012 MLB draft and played baseball professionally for two years before deciding to go the football route. At age 25, he's one of the older players in the draft.

Last season he totaled 44 receptions for 559 yards and two touchdowns.

With Rob Gronkowski's current situation, Belichick and the Patriots may be seeking his long-term replacement.

In additon, linebacker Skai Moore told reporters he met with Belichick at the combine and this week, as well.

Hayden Hurst says he‘s met w/ Bill Belichick twice - once in Indy at the combine & then again yesterday. Asked what those talks w/ BB was like & he replied, “At first you walk into the room & you’re like, ‘I’ve seen him on TV.’ But he’s a football guy. He likes talking football.” pic.twitter.com/XDzTCczmfV
