A few days after he was released, Antonio Brown continues to be a major topic of discussion when it comes to the Patriots.
After not addressing the release following the win over the Jets on Sunday, Bill Belichick was asked about Brown during his weekly appearance on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria Monday afternoon.
"Yeah, I appreciate the fact that you want to ask those questions, but really we've moved on," he said. "We released a statement about it. It didn't work out and moved on to the game against the Jets and now we're on to Buffalo. That's really where my attention and focus is going forward."
A follow-up question was asked if he has any regrets signing Brown?
"Yeah, I think we just talked about that," he said. "But, I do appreciate you asking the question."
Brown was released following a few allegations, including it being reported he sent intimidating texts to a woman who had accused him of sexual misconduct.
The wide receiver practiced Friday, so the team finished the week of practice expecting him to play in the game. Belichick was pleased with the way the team adjusted in the 30-14 win.
"Look, that is part of the game," he said. "Things can happen. Sometimes in the game on the first or second play, whatever it is. You always have to prepare for contingencies and I thought our team did a good job of that."
On The Greg Hill Show Monday morning, Tom Brady said he has personal feelings on the release, but did not want to get into them. He did go in-depth on how he wants to get the most out of his teammates and does whatever he can to do that.
