FOXBOROUGH -- While Bill Belichick's attention this week is on the Ravens, he does have an eye on a horse race in California Friday evening.
"Eight rings," named after the Patriots coach will race in the Breeders Cup Juvenile.
"7:03, right?" Belichick said with a smile Friday when asked about the race.
"I have a little interest in that one, yeah," he added.
The horse will have a homefield advantage so to speak, as he won Grade 1 American Pharaoh by six lengths on Sept. 27, making him the only horse in the eight-horse field to have a win at Santa Anita.
"Hope it runs fast," Belichick said.
The Patriots coach is a big horse racing fan as over the summer he is a frequent visitor to the tracks, including the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness.
