It's been almost two months since Super Bowl LII and Rob Gronkowski's status for the 2018 season still is not certain.

After the game, Gronkowski wouldn't commit to playing this coming season when he asked if the game could have been his last.

"I don't know how you heard that, but I am definitely going to look at my future, for sure," he said. "Sit down the next couple of weeks and see where I am at."

Since that night there's been no indication one way or the other, but there have been cryptic tweets from the tight end and rumors he could potentially to go the WWE. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also had the opportunity to address his situation at the NFL combine a few weeks ago, but said there was no update.

Sunday night, Bill Belichick had the chance to address Gronkowski's status and say if the team has been told anything.

"I'm not going to speak for anybody else," Belichick said to a group of local reporters at the NFL owners meetings in Orlando. "Conversations I've had with the players –  and I've had a lot of them – I'm going to keep those private between myself and the player. I'll respect that coach-to-player conversation. I don't want to speak for anybody else."

A follow-up was asked by NBC Sports Boston's Tom E. Curran and Belichick didn't bite.

"Trying to get the slider coming in over the outside corner? Yeah. I think I just covered that," he said.

Based on the Patriots not adding a tight end in free agency, it would seem they expect to have Gronkowski back in 2018, but nothing is ever certain.
