J.D. Martinez and Giancarlo Stanton were the two new additions in the American League East this season and at least so far, it appears Martinez is winning.
Martinez currently has 25 home runs to Stanton's 18, and the Red Sox slugger is crushing him in another category -- All-Star votes.
With four days left in the voting, Martinez has 1.2 million more votes than Stanton. Martinez has totaled 2,236,945 votes to lead AL designated hitters. Overall, Jose Altuve has the most votes, as he has over three million.
In the outfield, Mookie Betts is first, ahead of Mike Trout, while Andrew Benintendi is sixth.
Below are the complete totals of all the positions.
