Caesars sets Patriots' over/under for wins at 8.5, calls roster outside of cornerback 'one of the worst in the NFL'

Caesars sportsbook does not believe in the Patriots post-Tom Brady.

It currently has the Patriots' win total in 2020 at 8.5, its lowest since 2003. Additionally, it has Tom Brady's Buccaneers projected to have more (nine). Tampa Bay hasn't made the postseason since 2007.

Jeff Davis, the head oddsmaker at Caesars, does not see much in New England.

"My raw number on the Patriots is less than eight (wins)," he said to ESPN. "Outside of the secondary, which is one of the best in the league, the rest of their roster I think is one of the worst in the NFL. I'm very much struggling to find this team being a 10-win team. I'm just not buying this team at all. This team will show just how good Belichick and his staff are, compared to some of the other staffs. This might be the year that reality sets in with New England."

Caesars also has the Bills projected to finish with nine wins and have slightly better odds to win the AFC East than the Patriots.

Baltimore and Kansas City have the highest win totals set at 12, while the Jaguars and Redskins have the lowest at 4.5.
