Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov was injured in Saturday's loss to the Bruins and needed to be helped off the ice by his teammates.

NESN's Jack Edwards thought the injury might have been avoidable, which he said in a tweet, and the Hurricanes official Twitter account was not pleased and responded with a tweet of their own.

Here's video of the play and the tweets.

What NBC hasn’t shown yet, regarding the unfortunate injury to Svechnikov: the Carolina wing playing hobby-horse, riding Chara on the back apron of the goal. You poke the bear, you take your chances. No one wanted to see Svechnikov hurt, but he bit off more than he could chew.

This one should’ve stayed in the drafts, Jack https://t.co/dnhxe9U1hj
