PHILADELPHIA -- If Chase Winovich looked a little different Sunday against the Eagles, your eyes were not deceiving you.
The Patriots rookie defensive end did bleach his hair prior to the game, making it even more blonde than usual.
"I've died it every since my freshman year (at Michigan) — I've bleached it," he said after the game. "This time in particular is unfortunately a secret. I am just kind of keeping that one close."
Winovich added: "Some of (my teammates) know the reason about it, but really I am taking it one step at a time this season and trying to do my job the best I can."
The rookie finished the game with two tackles and playing 40 percent of the defensive snaps in the 17-10 win. Overall, he has 12 tackles and 4.5 sacks on the year.
