After spending five seasons in New England, Danny Amendola has moved on.
The wide receiver signed a reported two-year deal with the Dolphins last week with over $8 million guaranteed.
Speaking to the Dolphins team website late last week, Amendola reacted to joining Miami, which is coming off a 6-10 season.
"It feels great," he said. "I've played a lot of games against the Dolphins. I have a lot of respect for the organization and I am glad to be part of it and get started."
Amendola likes what he's seen from the Dolphins over the years, as he's faced them twice a season.
"They are tough. They play hard," he said. "They are well coached and they fly around. It is a blessing to be part of something like that."
The 32-year-old is the oldest receiver on the roster and he said he's looking forward to passing along some of his knowledge to the younger players.
"Great players," he said. "I have been watching a lot of those guys play for a long time in college and they play hard, they play fast, they are strong. Well-rounded players and I am excited to be part of the group."
Amendola had his best season with the Patriots last year finishing with 61 catches for 659 yards and two touchdowns and then 26 catches for 348 yards and two touchdowns in three postseason games.
