David Ortiz is back home.
According to ESPN, Ortiz was released from Mass General Hospital on Friday, well over a month after being shot in the back while in the Dominican Republic. The report adds Ortiz will continue his rehab at home where he will be closely monitored by full-time nurses and will be visited regularly by his personal physician.
Ortiz was shot on June 9.
The former Red Sox slugger had multiple surgeries to repair damage to his liver and intestines while in the hospital.
Multiple suspects have been arrested in the case, including the mastermind.
