Demaryius Thomas' reported contract is good one for Patriots

The Patriots signed Demaryius Thomas on Tuesday and the first reported details were it's worth up to $6 million.

A day later, the actual terms of the deal have come out and it makes a lot more sense for the Patriots -- not a lot guaranteed, which is understandable considering he's 31 years old and coming back from his second torn Achilles.

According to MMQB's Albert Breer, he got a $150K signing bonus, $150K reporting bonus, $1.2 million base, $1.406 million in per-game roster bonuses, $750K for 60 catches, $750K for 800 yards, $750K for 1,000 yards and $750K for 1,200 yards.

The wide out's cap hit is $2.9 million.

Overall, this looks like a solid deal for the Patriots as if Thomas does not work out, it's not like the team dished out a lot of money.
