The McCourty twins are back together.

For the first time since their college days at Rutgers, Devin and Jason McCourty are on the same team after the Patriots made a deal with the Browns to acquire Jason on Thursday.

Speaking on NBC Sports Boston's Boston Sports Tonight Thursday, Devin said how excited Jason is for the opportunity.

"You could definitely feel it," he said. "He's talked about it a lot throughout his career, all he wants to do is play in the playoffs. If anything goes wrong and we don't make the playoffs, I will be the first one to go to Bill [Belichick] and tell him to get him out of here because he ruined something good that was going. Him, his wife, his whole family, they are excited just to see us together a lot and see us play in some big games."

The two have talked about the potential of playing together for a long time.

"For a long time. I think it is pretty cool now to see it happen and really at the end of both our careers," Devin said. "Both have learned a lot throughout our careers in the NFL. … It's a perfect fit."

Added Devin: "I think we're both smart football players, understand scheme and whatever it is as a defense you're trying to get done. I would say I'm a little bit more physical than him, and some people might say he's faster than me. It will be exciting to see how we feed off each other. It's been a long time since we've been on the field together and been able to communicate and kind of know what each other is thinking and doing."

Devin did joke that he's a much better player than his twin brother.

"Well I'm better, so I don't want to get people's hopes up too much," he said. "Whatever you think of me, think a little less of him."
