FOXBORO -- Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower had arguably his best game of the season last Sunday against the Chiefs.

Hightower was all over the field and had an interception of Patrick Mahomes, which set up a first half touchdown for the Patriots.

The linebacker has noted he's still working his way back to full strength, and even after a game like Sunday he still feels he can get better.

"I feel like I am getting better each week and I hope to keep continuing to do that," he said.

Hightower added: "I still missed a couple of plays, a couple missed assignments, or whatever. I am just going to keep continuing to stride to be better each week."

As for the Patriots defense as a whole, the unit had a great first half, allowing just nine points, but then allowed 31 in the second half on just 22 plays. The group will be tested again this week against a high-powered Bears offense.

"I feel like we are taking the right strides," Hightower said. "I feel like each week and we prepare the best way that we can. Most of the time we come out with a good gameplan and we come in with corrections to make on the sideline, so hopefully we continue do that and get better at those adjustments on the sidelines."

The Patriots are currently allowing 24.7 points per game, which is 18th in the league.
