FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots have announced their captains for 2019.
They are: David Andrews, Tom Brady, Devin McCourty, Dont'a Hightower, Matthew Slater, Elandon Roberts and James White. Roberts may be the biggest surprise, as he's going into his fourth season with the team, but clearly has done enough behind the scenes to impress the organization.
Meanwhile, Patrick Chung was a captain last year, but is not this year. Hightower is back after not being one last season. He was in both 2016 and 2017.
This is also a sign that Andrews will be around the team the whole year, as he will miss the season due to blood clots in his lungs.
The Patriots will host the Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
