Maybe the Patriots won't be as bad as some think without Tom Brady.
According to ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI), the Patriots come in at No. 9 in the entire league for 2020.
The system is based on each team's Las Vegas win total; last season's performance on offense, defense and special teams; the number of returning starters; coaching staff changes; and starting and backup quarterbacks
It has the Patriots finishing with 8.6 wins and gives them a 60 percent chance of making the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers are ranked No. 8, projected for 9.1 win and have a 63 percent chance of making the playoffs.
The AFC East is a bit interesting as the Bills are ranked No. 10, but have a 41 percent chance to win the division, while the Patriots have a 40.9 percent chance.
At the top, Kansas City is No. 1, Baltimore, No. 2 and San Francisco No. 3.
