Despite two underachieving seasons in New England, Dwayne Allen is still generating interest among NFL teams.
According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the Ravens, Bills, Dolphins and Lions have preliminary interest in meeting with Allen after he was officially released by the Patriots Monday. The 29-year-old had 13 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown in his two seasons with the Patriots.
Allen was a great locker room guy, but just couldn't contribute at the level expected on the field.
Given the lack of production, it is interesting he's already receiving interest, although he's likely not looking at a big contract.
Free agency officially begins March 13 and Allen cannot officially sign until then.
