The Patriots got their first player on the NFL's top 100 players of 2017 list -- Rob Gronkowski at No. 15.

Gronkowski had one of the best seasons of his career as he earned a first-team All-Pro nomination with 69 catches for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns playing in 14 games. Coming in at No. 15 is actually the third-highest Gronkowski has ever came in at. In 2015 he was No. 10 and in 2016 he was No. 9. He's been ranked in the 20s three times and even was No. 41 in 2014.

Being No. 15 just seems a little low for the tight end -- he should be in the top 10.

The 29-year-old is one of the most dominant players in the entire league. Just look at what he did in the Week 15 game in Pittsburgh last season when he put the team on his back on the final offensive drive in the Patriots' win, which clinched the AFC East as well as gave them the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Not many players in the league could single-handedly do that.

This list was voted on by the players, so perhaps some knocked him for his one-game suspension for his hit on the Bills' Tre'Davious White. The list is nothing to get too worked up over, but it does feel like Gronkowski was snubbed a little.

Nos. 1-10 of the list will be released next week.
